- Allen Paquet & Arseneau LLP will be giving 1 bursary at $500 to a BHS student who is going in to the Business Administrative Program.
- Student should have been involved in the school community
- Reasonable marks are required as well as good attendance
- Winning recipient must agree to and provide their picture for, publication to recognize them publicly on Allen, Pacquet & Arseneau's social media.
Bernadine Riordon Memorial Scholarship - 1 @ $200
- Bernadine Riordon was a downshore lady involved deeply with her community.
- Based on academic performance with a minimum average of 70%, financial need, contribution to school and community, and involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Preference is to be given firstly to a “downshore” student, secondly to a rural area student. Please let the scholarship committee know that you live in the downshore area.
- The student is not to be a direct descendant of Mrs. Riordon.

- Student who played on either the Varsity Girls or Boys Basketball Team during the 2022-2023 season.
- Involved in the BHS Community.
- Academic standing will be noted.
- Shows leadership qualities and demonstrates strong leadership on the court.
- Playing for BHS during all the years attended will be noted.
BHS Club Scholarship - 1 @ $400 (approx.)
- Student who has been involved in a recognize school club at BHS.
- Contributed positively and was a dedicated member of the club(s)
BHS Creativity and Design Scholarship - 1 @ $250 (approx.)
- Student may be pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Animation, or Fine Art.
- Scholarship is funded by Life Touch Photography.
- Has taken two of the following courses at BHS:
Visual Art 110, Visual Art 120, Graphic Art & Design 110, Digital Productions 120, Fashion Technology 110. - Excelled in creativity, design and artistic expression at BHS.
BHS Doug Beaven Athletic Scholarship - 1 @ $1000
- Doug Beaven was a BHS Grad and was a member of 1977 BHS NBIAA Hockey Championship Team
- Involved in the BHS Community.
- Academic standing will be noted.
- Shows leadership qualities, demonstrates strong performance in their sport(s) as well as being a role model.
BHS Drama Scholarship - 1 @ $300 (approx.)
- Student who has been involved in the school's Drama Department.
- Contributed positively and was a dedicated member of the Drama Club.
BHS Musical Scholarship - 1 @ $400 (approx.)
- Any student who performed in a past BHS Musical Production and was a member of this year's (2023) production may apply.
- Demonstrated strong leadership qualities within the production.
- Involved in the BHS Community and/or the Bathurst Community
BHS Volleyball Scholarship - 1 @ $400 (approx.)
- Student who played on either the Varsity Girls or Boys Volleyball Team during the 2022-2023 season and was picked to be on this year's team.
- Involved in the BHS Community.
- Shows leadership qualities and demonstrates strong leadership on the court.
- Playing for BHS during all the years attended as well as academic standing will be noted.
Bryan Calnan Memorial Scholarship - 1 @ $300
- Bryan Calnan was a former School Board Trustee
- The award is based on reasonable academic achievement and school and/or community involvement.
- Preference will also be given to a BHS graduate who exemplifies a keen interest in creative writing (essays, poems) in his or her regular English courses or in the school/community/online newspaper publications.
City of Bathurst Scholarship - 2 @ $500
- One scholarship is for a child of a parent or guardian of a City Employee.
- A 2nd Scholarship is for a student who is residing within the Bathurst city limits.
- Have past and/or current involvement within the community.
- Financial need.
Damon Archibald Memorial Scholarship - 1 @ $300
- Damon Archibald was a student from Janeville Elementary School.
- The award is based on reasonable academic achievement and school and/or community involvement.
- Preference will be given to a BHS Graduate who attended Janeville Elementary School.
- Preference will also be given to a student going into the Field of Agriculture.
Derek Sisk Memorial Scholarship - 1 @ $1000 or 2 @ $500
- Derek Sisk was a Bathurst High School Graduate who had a passion for the trades.
- Must be accepted into a full time course at any post-secondary institution/skill trade program.
- Completed at least one skill trade course at BHS.
- Exhibited strong work ethic and dedication to the skilled trade program.
Huestis Insurance Baie de Chaleur Community Involvement Scholarship - 1 @ $250
- Applicant must demonstrate commitment to involvement in the community.
Jack and Mae McKinney Scholarship - 1 @ $1000 (approximately)
- Jack McKinney was an Acadia alumni who lived in Bathurst.
- Student must pursue studies at Acadia University to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Involvement in extracurricular life.
- Minimum academic average of 70.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic: giving your best efforts.
John Stickles Scholarship - 1 @ $300
- John Stickles was a former Vice Principal of Bathurst High School.
- Scholarship will be awarded to a BHS Graduate based on need and reasonable achievement in high school.
- Preference will be given to a student who has shown leadership qualities in their high school years.
Maude Smyth Memorial Scholarship - 1 @ $300
- Maude Smyth was a former Resource Teacher at Bathurst High School.
- Scholarship will be awarded based on need and reasonable achievement in high school
- Preference will be given to a student who is pursuing a career working with children.
Phantom Pride Scholarship (In Honor of the Boys in Red) - 7 @ $700
- The award will be based on reasonable achievement in high school.
- Involved in the BHS Community.
- Academic standing will be noted.
- Shows leadership qualities and demonstrates strong leadership in their sport(s) or activities.
Regional Service District Commission 3 Elmtree Environmental Scholarship - 2 @ $500
- Program of study must be of at least two years in duration.
- Preference will be given to students interested in pursuing a career in the environmental field and who have been involved in school and/or community activities.
Tim Horton's Scholarship - 1 @ $500
- Candidate will be selected based on both academic achievement and financial need.
- Preference will be given to residents of Bathurst and Beresford.
- Tim Horton employees will be noted.
Village of Belledune - 1 @ $500
- Must be a resident of the Belledune area.
